I’ve always wanted to connect good people with one another, but it seems I’ve gone about it the wrong way in the past. Trying to host events and coffee shop hangs, only to be disappointed that those who said they would attend bailed. I would invest time and money to make sure every detail was perfect, only to be let down. Don’t get me wrong, some gatherings were successful, and I’m grateful for the connections that I made, but for the most part, things just never worked as planned. I walked away from a significant project years ago because I just couldn’t put more time and energy into something that was draining me mentally. Fast forward five years later, and I’m finally ready to take a different approach.

You’re busy. Incredibly, ridiculously busy. (Which is probably why you had a damn hard time showing up at my events.) Maybe you have a demanding career or small children that you need to care for regularly. Perhaps your elderly parents need attention, or you’re involved in a non-profit group, spending much of your time volunteering. Whatever the case may be, you’ve got a lot going on and making time for yourself isn’t always feasible. (Even though it should totally be a priority.) The goal of this new blog will be to create a place where even if just for a moment, you can sit with a cup of coffee, read an entertaining and enlightening piece to motivate you to keep rocking your hustle. Period. No ulterior motives. Just a place that makes you feel good on the daily!

Now, to make that happen, I can’t go at it alone. Sure, my story may inspire some, but my adventures may not speak to everyone. So, to create an inclusive space, I’m opening the community up to guest posts to help add some variety! I already have a few key people I know I can count on and trust me, you’re going to love them, but I’m particularly excited about new voices. People I’ve met along the way through my work travels or personal adventures which I hope will step forward and ask to get involved. Oh, and if you’re worried that I’m just going to start throwing all kinds of useless posts at you, you’re wrong. Every piece will be carefully curated to reveal authenticity, mindfulness, and yes, even humour.

Here are areas we hope to cover:

  • Love & Relationships
  • Product Reviews
  • Health & Fitness
  • Family Life
  • Inspiring Personal Stories
  • Food & Recipes
  • Travel & Entertainment
  • Careers & Entrepreneurship

  1. Karine, I’m so proud of you and how you have stepped up to continue to follow your path. We all lose sight of where we want to be and what we want ( and often create post-it notes to remind us), but, you found your path back to happiness! Congrats on getting the site up and going! I would love to send a blog once in a while , “confessions behind the chair”. Basically stories of a stylist and their day of trying to make people happy, trying to stay on task and up to date, and it’s huge benefits and yet it’s struggles. If you’re interested, let me know.
Either way, beautiful site, I already scanned through most of it and read what’s on it!
    Awaiting future posts and blogs!
